The Beginning of Everything

The expansion of a millionth of a millionth of a centimeter. This was the creation of space and time, an imperceptible occurrence grounded in theory and faith. The reality is that we are here filling our limited flesh with limitless ideas trying to obtain the infinite potential of the unseen seeds of existence. My comrade Laurence Bass spoke to me like a child who had just witnessed his first sunset. He recently picked up Jeff Chang’s book Total Chaos and recounted almost word for word Harry Allen’s essay on beginnings. The media assassin has gotten himself another disciple. The musings of the essay seem to me a fitting introduction to this particular beginning. The expansion of this Cyber space is a portion of a cave wall in France, the side of a building in Brazil and the boulders I painted on in the hills of Moreno Valley. It is a fatherless D.C. afternoon filled with a mother’s Love. Some nights it can be seen as a box of hope in Baltimore being held by a boy you would think never belonged there. All of us are individual happenings in tune to a purpose now carbon based. As steady as the sun’s gaze and as imminent as its descent.
